Flattening test of cylinders:
The flattening test shall be performed on one cylinder selected from each batch after heat treatment.
Test cylinder shall be flattened between wedge-shaped knife edges with a 60° included angle, the edges being rounded to a nominal radius of 13 mm.
Length of the wedges shall be not less than the width of the flattened cylinder.
Longitudinal axis of the cylinder shall be at an angle of approximately 90° to the knife edges.

5、The test cylinder shall be flattened until the distance between the knife edges is in accordance with Table 4. The flattened cylinder shall remain visually uncracked.
6、For the material selection of gas cylinder body, in addition to containing individual highly corrosive gases should take corresponding measures, the general standard is only stipulated in principle (such as the corrosion performance of the medium must be considered).
Gas cylinder steel, smelting method restrictions, to the United Kingdom for the oldest, carbon steel for open furnace, manganese steel for open furnace or electric furnace.
