Why should acetylene bottles be stored and used upright instead of lying down? There are four reasons:

The rubber ring is insulation material, lying is equal to acetylene bottle on the electric insulator, resulting in the static electricity generated on the cylinder can not spread to the earth, gather on the bottle body, easy to produce electrostatic spark, when acetylene gas leakage, easy to cause combustion and explosion accidents.
4, the use of acetylene bottle valve is equipped with a pressure reducer, flame arrester, connected with rubber hose, because of lying down easy to roll, rolling easy damage to the pressure reducer, flame arrester or pull the degluing tube, resulting in acetylene gas leakage, resulting in combustion explosion.
To sum up, acetylene cylinders must be placed upright.
