Le volume nominal, comme la pression de service nominale, est une valeur nominale plut\u00f4t qu'une valeur r\u00e9elle pr\u00e9cise. Pour des raisons de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, le volume r\u00e9el de la bouteille doit \u00eatre sup\u00e9rieur au volume nominal avec une tol\u00e9rance de +5%. On voit que si le volume nominal est la valeur nominale d'une appellation, il est strictement limit\u00e9 et ne peut \u00eatre abord\u00e9 avec d\u00e9sinvolture.
